NPD Group Promotes Bush and Brown

US-based retail tracking provider The NPD Group has promoted Tim Bush to the role of Group President, Americas, while Dennis Brown moves into the newly created position of Group Operating Officer.

Tim Bush and Dennis BrownBush was formerly Group President for Asia, and for NPD's Technology Analyst business, prior to which he served as SVP of Corporate Development, leading the company's acquisition of DisplaySearch and Solarbuzz. Earlier in his career, Bush held senior roles at ACNielsen, American Express and Time Warner. In his new role, he is in charge of the commercial teams providing solutions across fourteen industry sectors in Canada, the US and Mexico.

As Group Operating Officer, Brown will help implement the firm's strategic growth initiatives. He was previously Group President of NPD's Americas Commercial Businesses, and prior to this was Group President of the Home and Consumer and Commercial Technology groups. Before joining, he was SVP of World Kitchen, COO for Krups North America, and President of JBL Consumer Products.

The firm recently expanded Michel Maury's role as Group President for Europe, to include management of its Asia Pacific operations, and hired former Ipsos exec Philippe Cabin Saint Marcel as General Manager of Commercial Activities for Europe.
