In the US, data-driven CRM agency Merkle has appointed Michael Komasinski as Chief Operating Officer, Digital Agency Services; while Gerry Bavaro joins as Vice President, Enterprise Solutions Group.
Most recently, Komasinski was COO for Razorfish North America, where he directly managed agency operations, delivery management, resource management and client finance. While there, he was accountable for the business performance of this 2,000 person, $400 million unit of Publicis Groupe. Earlier, he was SVP of Account Management at Schawk Retail Marketing, and he spent seven years in leadership roles at Nielsen, including as VP of Global Operations. In his new role, Komasinski will assist in the overall operation of the group, with a focus on delivery across digital agency solutions.
Bavaro previously worked at Omnicom's Resolution Media as Chief Strategy Officer, leading the development of social media services. Before this, he held a number of senior roles including SVP, Performance Media at Digitas, and he founded strategic planning specialist Design Side. At Merkle, he will be responsible for development and oversight of cross-functional, enterprise solutions, while managing several key partnerships.
