US-based insights and advisory firm Information Services Group (ISG) has acquired emerging IT trends analyst Saugatuck Technology for an undisclosed sum.
Westport, CT-based Saugatuck offers a subscription-based research and analysis service, focused on emerging and disruptive technologies. Following the acquisition, Saugatuck will be integrated with ISG's own research and advisory services to offer a combination of analysis, education and informed, fact-based opinion. The entire Saugatuck team, including founder and CEO Bill McNee, will continue in their existing roles during the integration period.
Michael Connors (pictured), Chairman and CEO of ISG, says the buy adds to the firm's recurring revenue streams, which already represent more than 25% of its revenues, and provides 'a solid platform on which to build a strong analyst capability', complementing ISG's 'market-leading research offerings and growing cloud and digital services'.
