In Australia, media monitoring and intelligence group Isentia has acquired content marketing agency King Content. While terms of the deal were not disclosed, reports suggest that if King Content hits its targets over the next five years, it will be worth $48m to its owners.
The company is headquartered in Sydney, with additional offices in Melbourne, Singapore, Hong Kong, London and New York. As well as content generation, marketing and measurement, King Content offers a range of social media strategy development, community management, and measurement and reporting services.
The deal gives Isentia access to King Content's Communique platform, which manages workflow for clients and offers analytics on campaign performance, while the latter firm will remain as a separate brand and stay in its own offices.
Isentia CEO and MD John Croll (pictured) comments: 'King Content has become a world leader in a dynamic and exciting industry with a total focus on the client and their needs, providing comprehensive and fully supported content solutions. This acquisition provides a great fit for our existing clients, with further opportunities to extend our relationships into the marketing channel and access new clients across the region and globe'.
