Boston, MA-based TV ad platform clypd has appointed former Nielsen data science chief Peter Doe as Chief Research Officer.
Founded in 2012, clypd offers a TV platform which delivers workflow automation, while providing media partners with tools to manage their sales efforts. Doe (pictured) joins with more than 25 years' TV research experience. For the past decade, he worked at Nielsen in the US - initially as VP Analytics and Modeling, then MD of NielsenConnections, and latterly SVP Data Science. Prior to this, he worked in the UK for London-based TV audience research specialist RSMB for thirteen years, latterly as Chief Statistician, having begun his career at NOP in 1986.
In his new role, Doe is responsible for programmatic television initiatives, and for driving continuous improvement in the clypd product line, which includes several new data and targeting features.
CEO and co-founder Joshua Summers states: 'Research is critical to the success of our customers and intrinsic to the programmatic TV solution our customers depend on to drive their top and bottom-line results. Pete's appointment highlights our commitment to powering data, and he brings more than 25 years of experience to the table having pioneered many of the research advancements during that time. We expect he will continue that trend at clypd, and we are thrilled to welcome him to our leadership team'.
