Guildford, Surrey-based healthcare MR and fieldwork operations firm FieldBox has hired Phil Thorpe as its first Managing Director.
Launched earlier this year by a consortium of investors which includes principal shareholders Bob Qureshi, Ivan Bautista and Joachim Zeunges, FieldBox focuses on recruitment for qualitative, quantitative and online methodologies across the automotive, B2B, consumer and healthcare sectors. The firm is a member of the market research alliance Five Research which includes Fieldwork International (USA), i-view London (UK), Viewpoint Europe (Germany), Estudio Silvia Roca (Spain) and Stratega (Poland).
Thorpe (pictured) joins with more than twenty years' industry experience, most recently from Fieldwork International where he was Director, Qualitative and Patient Research. Before this, he was Global Field Director at The Planning Shop; Head of Field Operations at Kantar Health, where he worked for nearly seven years; and Senior IRC at TNS Healthcare. He has also worked on clinical trial studies at Pfizer.
In his new role managing the firm's continued expansion, Thorpe will focus in particular on the healthcare and automotive sectors.
