In the US, David Cohen has been promoted to the role of President of Magna Global US, the intelligence and investment arm of IPG Mediabrands. He will take up the post in January.
Magna Global produces reports on audience trends, media spend, market demand and ad effectiveness; while its investment division taps into the parent company's resources to drive savings and efficiencies for its clients. In addition, the division measures and forecasts advertising revenues through the analysis of media companies' public filings, government reports, trade association data and local market expertise.
Cohen (pictured) will join from the group's media agency UM, where he served as Chief Media Officer for nearly four years, and was previously EVP, Global Digital Officer. Earlier, he held senior media roles at Zentropy Partners, Thunder House and NexGen Media Worldwide.
He starts the new role on January 1st, following the departure of Todd Gordon, who has moved to TubeMogul. Henry Tajer, Global CEO of IPG Mediabrands, comments: 'David's rise to oversee Magna Global US is the natural, next step for a leader that has already so positively impacted our clients and network with his forward-thinking strategies and solutions'.
