In the US, research technology and services group FocusVision has acquired the assets of video research solutions provider Qualvu, along with the firm's qual research intelligence platform 24Tru. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 2007, Qualvu has developed a video-based methodology to help clients connect with and research their customers. The 24Tru platform aggregates and organizes all research content for access to insights, video clips, images or whole reports.
FocusVision President & CEO Eric Grosgogeat (pictured) says the buy brings another technology asset helping the firm to provide seamless solutions to customers. This is the fifth buyout FocusVision has completed since being acquired by private equity firm SV Investment Partners in 2007. The others are Australia-based Insight Marketing Systems, creator of the Research Reporter SaaS platform; quant MR tech firm Decipher; research tool developer Revelation Global; and MR video streaming firm ActiveGroup.
