WPP audience profiling and targeting division Xaxis has promoted Nicolle Pangis to the role of Global Chief Operating Officer, overseeing business operations, HR, partnerships, product management, and tech development across the Americas, Europe and AsiaPac.
Xaxis was formed in 2011, promising to bring together WPP's ad buying capabilities with a colossal database to offer clients the 'world's largest pool of audience profiles'. Pangis (pictured) joined two years ago as Chief Revenue Officer responsible for the company's nearly $1 billion in global revenue. Before this, she spent most of her career at WPP-owned 24/7 Media, latterly as President, North America and Europe of the Real Media division.
Brian Gleason, who was recently promoted to the position of Xaxis Global CEO, comments: 'Nicolle has been an integral part of the Xaxis growth story over the past two years, helping drive strong results worldwide through her exemplary leadership, vision and technological expertise. We are excited to welcome her as the global COO where she will play a major role in the ongoing growth and development of the company'.
In her new role, Pangis replaces Mark Grether, who was Global COO for nearly five years, having previously been Global Development Director for WPP firm GroupM in Germany, and held senior roles at United Internet Media, and KarstadtQuelle AG. Grether's next career move is not yet known.
