On Device Promotes Kobeissi for New Global MD Role

London-based mobile research and sample specialist On Device Research has promoted Nader Kobeissi to the newly created position of Global Managing Director.

Founded in 2009 by former M:Metrics execs Alistair Hill and Tim Cleminson, On Device uses proprietary technology to deliver targeted data from profiled global panels in 91 countries. In 2013, the firm opened an office in Singapore, following a partnership with Millward Brown, through which it provides data collection via mobile Internet across the AMAP region.

Kobeissi (pictured) joined last year in the firm's new Dubai office as Managing Director for MENA. He worked previously for Ipsos Interactive Services as Regional Director, MENA, before which he spent time as Research NowVP MENA, and as Toluna's Senior Director for North America and Europe. After leaving university, he set up an online search engine called Thedaleel.com, which became Lebanon's twelfth most visited web site between 2003 and 2004.

In his new role, Kobeissi will focus on growing On Device's mobile research and panel business in Africa, Europe and the Americas, while managing the existing business in the MENA region. Hill comments: 'Nader has done a fantastic job for us in the MENA region and has significantly grown both our existing and new business; he already has proven experience in managing the European and American markets and we are excited to promote him to this new global role'.
