Instantly's former European MD Ben Leet has joined mobile survey specialist Dalia Research in the newly created position of Chief Commercial Officer, based in London.
Founded in 2013 by Nico Jaspers, Hanns-Christoph Leisewitz and Fernando Guillen, Berlin-headquartered Dalia has developed technology for the collection of real-time data including market trends, attitudes and opinions. With a publisher-network covering more than 70 countries, its platform currently processes up to 3.5 million answers per day. Last summer, the firm received a seven-figure seed round of funding, which it has since been using to expand its Data Science and Engineering team, analytics capacities and geographical reach.
Leet (pictured) joins from online sampling and technology company Instantly (previously known as uSamp, and recently acquired by SSI), where he was instrumental in the growth of the firm's presence in Europe. Prior to this, he was Client Development Manager at Ugam Solutions, and an Account Director at Toluna.
Commenting on the appointment, Jaspers said: 'Since founding the company, I have firmly believed that the research industry should shift more towards mobile, and our intentions were always to be technologically ahead of our time. With Ben joining us, it further validates our vision and places us very well for future growth.'
