US-based research technology and services group FocusVision has appointed Decipher US co-founder Jamin Brazil as Chief Executive Officer, replacing Eric Grosgogeat who has stepped down to 'pursue other opportunities' after eight years in the role.
FocusVision's solutions include an online survey platform, research facility video streaming, webcam focus groups, ethnography streaming, panel management and mobile device usability studies. The firm has more than 350 employees and offices in the US, the UK, Bulgaria, Brazil, Australia and Singapore, and since being acquired by private equity firm SV Investment Partners in 2007 has completed six buyouts include quant MR tech firm Decipher in the US.
Brazil (pictured) has been the company's Chief Marketing Officer since its acquisition of Decipher last year. Earlier in his career, he spent four years as VP of Research at MACRO Consulting, and founded data management firm WebConstruction.com. He replaces Grosgogeat, who joined in 2008 after a career in senior roles at Philips, Aurora Foods and Procter & Gamble.
