Palo Alto, CA-based intelligent machine learning startup Adatos has opened an office in Australia, led by former AMAA Chief Executive Paul Dovas as Manager, and David Perez as Director for Australia and New Zealand.
Founded last year by former US intelligence analyst Drew Perez, Adatos offers marketers technology to bring together disparate structured and unstructured data sets in order to recognise patterns, extract insights, identify trends and make predictions.
Dovas (pictured) joins after a brief period serving as a consultant to the media industry, having previously spent sixteen years at not-for profit industry organisation AMAA (Audited Media Association of Australia), where he was initially Director of Audit Services, and latterly served as CEO. Perez joined Adatos in January, after a career which has included working as a Senior Business Analyst at Fujitsu, and an eBusiness Consultant at the Inland Revenue Department in Wellington.
Commenting on the expansion, Drew Perez said: 'We are excited to make our technology available in the Australian and New Zealand markets. Our technology has a proven track record and has been continuously improved its application in the US Intelligence community. The technology has been kept a trade secret, but can now be leveraged by local marketers, data scientists or anyone dealing with big data, as it has been declassified'.
