In London, predictive analytics specialist Black Swan Data has appointed former Edelman Berland COO James 'JT' Turner, to establish a new Insights division.
Black Swan uses technology and data science to analyse consumer behaviour and build predictive models. Turner (pictured) joins from marcoms group Edelman Berland where he served as Chief Operating Officer, Europe & CIS, having previously set up the UK office and served as its MD. Earlier, he held senior management positions at ICM, FreshMinds, Populus and BT.
His new team comprises Client Insight Director Chris Bunyan, Insights Manager Nick Peppiatt, Account Manager Katya Euser and Insight Analyst Lauren Wardrope. Bunyan joins from Kantar Media, where he worked as a Group Account Director in the consumer intelligence division, while Peppiatt worked in brand and advertising research at GfK. Euser's previous role was as a Social Analyst at Ogilvy One, and Wardrope joins from content agency Redwood where she was a Junior Digital Analyst.
