US-based sampling automation provider Lucid has appointed former Research Now MD Ben Hogg as Managing Director, EMEA; while promoting Brett Schnittlich to the role of President and CTO, and Andy Ellis to Chief Operating Officer.
Formerly known as Federated Sample, the company rebranded last August to reflect 'explosive growth' in its two primary business units - revenues had doubled over the previous twelve months. The existing businesses under the Lucid name are global programmatic sample exchange Fulcrum, full-service sample provider Federated Sample, and campaign and audience measurement specialist Proof.
London-based Hogg (pictured) joins from Research Now, where he latterly served as MD - EMEA Portfolio Companies, in charge of the company's healthcare, and mobile and digital divisions, as well as social media sample provider Peanut Labs. Prior to this, he was Business Development Director at Nielsen/NetRatings, and he worked for MyVoice and NetValue. Earlier, he launched San Francisco-based mobile measurement and survey company Telephia in Europe. Lucid CEO Patrick Comer comments: 'We have incredible clients and partners in EMEA markets. To continue super-serving our partners and expand internationally, we needed a powerhouse leader in EMEA. Ben's that person. He knows what it takes to develop our products across Europe and beyond'.
Separately, the firm has promoted Ellis, President of its Fulcrum and Federated Sample business units to COO; while CTO Schnittlich moves up to the role of President and CTO of Lucid.
