US-based online physician community SERMO has grown its platform to nearly 600,000 members in 30 countries, with the addition of physicians in Germany, Austria, Poland Switzerland, Greece and Hungary.Acquired by healthcare researcher WorldOne in 2012, SERMO provides a social network through which doctors can share their opinions. Yesterday, the firm launched a tool called RealTime, to enable clients to test ideas among its membership within 'minutes'.
Along with the new members, the platform provides access to physicians from the UK, Canada, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, Mexico, Spain, Italy, France, Finland, Colombia, Venezuela, Chile, Ecuador, Guatemala, Peru and Israel; and the network operates in five languages.
