Chicago-based marketing services firm Target Data has hired former Acxiom / Merkle exec Michael Mathias for the new role of Chief Strategy Officer, tasked with overseeing company strategy, sales and marketing and leading growth into new markets.
Target Data's platform merges clients' first-party data with third-party household data to help them understand who their most valuable customers are. Modeling is used to identify prospect audiences which are then activated through cross-channel marketing campaigns, including direct mail, e-mail, programmatic display and mobile.
Mathias (pictured) joins with more than 25 years' experience in growth strategy, database and digital marketing, and customer relationship marketing. Most recently, he was MD of Thomson Reuters firm FindLaw, prior to which he was VP, Financial Services at enterprise data and analytics firm Acxiom; and EVP, Agency Services at consumer insights and analytics specialist Merkle.
