In the US, Kathy Ofsthun has returned to custom market research firm Chadwick Martin Bailey (CMB) to head its Qualitative practice.
Founded in 1984 by John Martin and Anne Bailey Berman, CMB has corporate headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts, serving clients in more than 30 countries around the globe. Last year, the firm launched a survey-based solution called Empact, to offer a 'practical approach' to measuring consumer emotions.
Ofsthun (pictured) re-joins the company as VP of Qualitative Strategy + Insights, after almost five years at consumer insights specialist C Space, where she was VP of Client Services. Prior to this she was an Account Director at CMB, responsible for managing key account relationships and directing research for CPG and retail clients. Earlier, she was President of shopper insights business Focus on Research, and worked in a shopper insights role at supermarket chain Stop & Shop, having begun her career in business development at The NutraSweet Company.
Commenting on the appointment, Bailey Berman said: 'We're very excited to have Kathy in this role. Her diverse strategic experience, and talents as a collaborator and leader, are a tremendous asset to our clients as we expand our capabilities and increase the value of our insights and recommendations'.
