According to press reports, Aydin Mirzaee has left SurveyMonkey, two years after its acquisition of online survey and application review tools firm Fluidware, which he co-founded in 2008. His next career move is unknown.
Mirzaee (pictured) and Eli Fathi set up Fluidware to provide a DIY research and analysis product called FluidSurveys, and a centralised information sharing and review system, known as FluidReview. SurveyMonkey bought the business in order to expand into the Canadian market, and after the takeover Mirzaee initially served as SurveyMonkey's Director of Product Management. More recently, he was General Manager of FluidReview.
In an article in the Ottawa Business Journal, Mirzaee said that under his management, FluidReview has grown from 75 employees at the time of the acquisition to around 90 today, adding that now 'seems like an opportune time to make the transition'.
