Stockholm-based Voice of the Customer specialist Nepa AB has acquired the outstanding 9.9 percent of Nepa UK Ltd. Following the move, the company says it has 'parted ways' with UK MD Johnny Caldwell.
The firm, which integrates behavioural data with feedback from online panels through a platform called ActionHub, operates from headquarters in Sweden, as well as from offices in China, Denmark, Finland, Germany, India, Singapore and the UK. In a statement, the firm said that as a response to increasing demand for its products in the UK, where Nepa had a growth rate of more than 45% in 2016, the acquisition represents the next step to developing the UK business.
Hans Skruvfors (pictured) becomes acting MD at Nepa UK Ltd, with plans to recruit a new Managing Director, as well as several other new members of staff in the London office. At the time of going to press, DRNO was unable to find out details about former UK MD Caldwell's next career move.
Commenting on the changes, Skruvfors said: 'The UK is the second largest market in the world for the type of products and services that Nepa offers. To succeed with our goals to make the UK one of Nepa's strongholds, we strengthen our position by acquiring 9.9 percent of the subsidiary Nepa UK Ltd, which now becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary. This also means that we part ways with the current MD in the UK'.
