In the US, multi-disciplinary marketing research firm Aimpoint Research has appointed former Hertz exec John Huffman as Director of Research, leading its teams in Columbus, Ohio and overseeing the firm's call center.Aimpoint offers a range of qual and quant techniques for public opinion research, competitive intelligence, consumer research, customer experience metrics and other study types. Huffman (pictured) joins from car rental company Hertz, where he served as Director of Customer Insights. Before this he held senior insights and innovation roles at the US Postal Service and Walmart, after spells at Bank of America and Capital One. Earlier, he was a Research Manager at Nielsen//NetRatings and Operations Manager at Florida State University's Survey Research Lab.
In his new role, Huffman is responsible for conducting research in North America across all industry verticals, research methodologies and study types; while leading a team of researchers and analysts, and overseeing the day-to-day running of the on-site call center and focus group facilities.
