GfK has appointed Christian Bigatà Joseph as Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Christian Diedrich, who will hand over his responsibilities and leave at the end of his contract.
Bigatà Joseph (pictured), who will take up his new role on 1st August, is currently CFO of Internet portals provider 1&1 Mail & Media, having previously spent several years as CFO of sister business 1&1 Internet, which provides hosting and cloud services. Before this, he spent six years at digital business platform Software AG, latterly as VP Finance Controlling and Administration, EMEA, having previously served as CFO for Spain and Portugal. Earlier, he was Senior Finance Manager at Amazon, and he spent eight years in finance roles at Nestlé.
Ralf Klein-Bölting, Chairman of the GfK SE Supervisory Board, thanked Diedrich, and described Bigatà Joseph as the right choice to drive change and get the company back on a sustainable growth path. CEO Peter Feld added: 'We are very pleased that Christian will be joining GfK. He is a renowned finance expert and manager, who brings valuable skills to our company: profound digital expertise, a clear customer focus and broad experience in successfully managing strategic transformations'.
