In New York, data-driven marketing technology provider Zeta Global has acquired machine learning specialist Boomtrain for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 2012 and headquartered in San Francisco, Boomtrain uses artificial intelligence to drive personalized messaging across all digital touchpoints, enhancing customer understanding as well as communication. Following the acquisition, the company's technology will become the personalization engine within Zeta Global's digital marketing platform, the ZetaHub. Boomtrain's co-founder and CTO Chris Monberg (pictured) will become CTO of Zeta Global, and along with the firm's engineering and data science team, Zeta Global's headcount will now total more than 1,300 employees.
David Steinberg, Zeta's co-founder, Chairman and CEO, comments: 'My co-founder John Sculley and I believe machine learning will fuel next-generation marketing technology. This acquisition accelerates Zeta's already significant investments and achievements in machine learning to enable the world's leading brands to deliver 1:1 marketing at scale'.
