WPP-owned digital data collection specialist Lightspeed has promoted Jennifer Carrea to the role of CEO Americas and Global Health, replacing David Shanker who is leaving to 'pursue new opportunities'.Carrea (pictured) joined the firm last year as CEO of its healthcare division, now known as Lightspeed Health. She had previously served as Group President of Instar Research, prior to which she was SVP & Global Account Director at Ipsos Healthcare, and spent more than eleven years at Synovate Healthcare / Market Facts in various roles from Study Director to Senior Vice President.
From August 1st, Carrea will take over leadership of Lightspeed's digital data collection in the Americas, while retaining her healthcare responsibilities. She replaces Shanker, who joined in 2013 after working as CEO for NYC-based digital MR provider PINCHme, before which he worked in senior positions at Ipsos, OTX Research and IRI.
Global CEO Caroline Frankum comments: 'Since joining Lightspeed to head up our global healthcare business last year, Jennifer has impressed us all with her bold approach to making change for the better and driving double-digit revenue growth. I have no doubt she will build on these strong foundations to extend growth into the consumer business as well. Many thanks to David for all he did over the years, and we wish him well with his new journey ahead'.
