In Hong Kong, MR consultancy ABN Impact has appointed former YouGov co-CEO Patrick (Paddy) Corr as Executive Director for the Asia region.Founded as abn Research in 2010 by RI veteran Brooke Courtenay and former Synovate leader Maz Amirahmadi, and renamed ABN Impact in 2012, the firm also has offices in Shanghai, Bangkok, Jakarta, Seoul, and Singapore. Corr joins with twenty years' consulting, media and market research experience, gained in Asia and Europe. In 2011, he and Colin Marson co-founded Asian MR and tech firm Decision Fuel, which provided research to the Asian market using online and mobile-based technology, while offering access to a panel of 60,000 consumers across five countries. In 2014, the pair sold the company to YouGov, and continued to lead the business in the Asia Pacific region.
In his new role, Corr will still be based in Hong Kong, from where he will help grow the business across Asia. Chairman Adrian Chedore comments: 'Part of Paddy's remit includes developing exciting new product areas for ABN that will ensure we provide clients with the most powerful ways to get close to their customers through continuous dialogue'.
