Manchester-based kids, tweens and teens specialist Kids Insights has closed a six-figure round of funding, which it will use to scale the business in the UK and accelerate plans to expand internationally.
Launched last year by bespoke MR and insights agency Bee Industrious, which also has offices in Lagos, Nigeria and in New York, Kids Insights offers marketers a range of resources on the consumption and behaviour trends of 4 to 18-year-olds in the UK. Each month, the business surveys more than 1,600 kids, tweens and teens, and each quarter it produces four in-depth insight reports highlighting what kids are consuming, how they are behaving and what is influencing them both on and off-line. The business has also launched an online portal, providing real-time data which is collected from more than 400 kids, tweens and teens every week.
Founder and MD Nick Richardson (pictured) has raised the new funding through local entrepreneur and angel investor Adam Kara. Commenting on the news, Richardson said: 'It's fantastic that we now have Adam on board. His wealth of experience in marketing and similar business models really gives us that extra element that I feel will contribute massively towards our success'.
