In New York, location data specialist GroundTruth has appointed former comScore exec Jeff Hackett as SVP of North America Sales, while Microsoft veteran Eric Hadley joins as Chief Marketing Officer.
Formerly known as xAd, GroundTruth uses current and past location data from mobiles to track in-store visits and target / time promotions. Hackett joins after a brief spell at mobile ad platform AdColony, before which he spent thirteen years at comScore, latterly leading commercial efforts for its US national sales team. Earlier, he was responsible for comScore's Media Metrix sales and service team across all US-based clients; and he oversaw the US sales and service team supporting the company's syndicated measurement unit.
Hadley joins with more than twenty years of marketing and sales leadership experience in consumer, media and technology companies. Most recently, he was President of creative agency Mission, before which he worked for content discovery and personalization platform Outbrain as Head of Global Marketing, and was SVP Sales Strategy & Marketing at The Weather Channel. Earlier, he spent fifteen years at Microsoft; latterly as General Manager Worldwide Marketing of Bing and MSN.
Both Hadley and Hackett will report in to former comScore CEO President Serge Matta, who comments: 'Eric has mastered the art and science of marketing backed by data to develop big ideas and long-lasting partnerships for household brands. Jeff also joins GroundTruth at a pivotal time for our sales force as we continue to push forward into new vertical categories. Together, the two new executives bring immense experience that will accelerate and guide GroundTruth into 2018 and beyond'.
