Manchester, UK-based agency Join the Dots has added two new online community tools - Scout and Project - to its platform.
Join the Dots, which was acquired by its senior management team last year, combines primary research with psychology and behavioural economics, and sets up and manages online communities. In the autumn, the firm launched a dedicated qualitative research unit under the new brand name of Spirit.
'Scout', is designed to collect photo, video and web content through consumers 'in the moment'; for use in studies on shopper / purchase journeys, customer experience, product testing, and segmentation / lifestyle research. 'Project', has been developed to help create pop-up communities within an existing online community.
Andy Buckley (pictured), Innovations Director, comments: 'Designing research tools that mimic how people naturally share and communicate with each other is at the heart of our people-centred research philosophy. In this instance Scout reflects how people use tools like Instagram to share photo and video content rather than using traditional online forums. Project has been designed for co-creation, agile research, deep dives and expert or niche audience research. We can deliver all the benefits of a large community panel with the added ability to create intimate, collaborative spaces when required'.
