In the US, WPP-owned Triad Retail Media has appointed Joe Henson to lead the development of a new proprietary, shopper-based solution for targeting audience segments.
Triad helps retailers create, manage and operate digital media programs. Henson joins from Catalina Marketing, where he was Group VP of Product Platform and Technology, serving as a conduit between technology, analytics, sales, product management and media operations. Before that, he held various senior management positions within the technology industry, including at Q Interactive and Baxter.
In his new position of Senior Vice President of Products and Platform, Henson is responsible for helping retail partners to uncover deeper levels of data insights and transform the retail experience through shopper-based marketing. Initially he will focus on a shopper-based marketing solution bringing together data sets to identify macro and micro level shopper preferences.
Henson reports to CEO Sherry Smith, who comments: 'Joe is an industry veteran of twenty years with a playbook of exceptional go-to-market product strategies and technological expertise. As we forge into the new year, we're excited to have his leadership set the direction of our evolving product suite, allowing retailers to maximize the value of their media'.
