Vision Critical Boosts AI Capability with Aida Buy

Customer intelligence platform Vision Critical has acquired assets from Aida Software Corp, which applies artificial intelligence (AI) to customer experience and customer support apps. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the entire Aida Data Science team will join Vision Critical.

Aida's AI technology helps customers with common support questions. The software automatically learns questions and answers from historical agent transactions, and then integrates this data with help desk tools so human agents can provide customer support. Vision Critical says the acquisitions will speed up the development and integration of machine learning and AI-based apps for its Sparq 3 customer intelligence platform, which already offers a set of AI-powered apps called CRIS (Customer Relationship Intelligence Science).

The team joining Vision Critical includes Aida founder and Metafor Software co-founder Jenny Yang (pictured), who will now lead the firm's data science initiatives.
