Basis Research Hires for New LA Office

London-based full service agency Basis Research has appointed former Ipsos exec Jennifer Rittner to relaunch its Los Angeles office, in the role of Managing Partner.

LA was the site of the company's first US office, opened in April 2016, but Basis briefly suspended operations there. This year it launched a Global Healthcare practice, led from New York by Scott Kressner, former Managing Partner of Hall & Partners Health in the US.

Rittner (pictured) will help the company to expand its US business, particularly on the West Coast. She brings twenty years of experience in brand strategy, marketing and insights, having initially worked in the ad industry at Saatchi & Saatchi and its Team One subsidiary. She left in 2009 and spent five years as a consultant before joining Ipsos in November 2013, as Vice President in its Social Media Exchange. Here she served as a partner to clients looking to incorporate the voice of the consumer into business decisions while working with approaches such as online communities and social data and analytics.

CEO Rune Mortensen says of the relaunch: 'Growing our commitment to the West Coast and Los Angeles is a natural fit for the client work we are already doing both in London and Los Angeles.
