New Regional Role for NIQ's Megan Treston

February 5 2024

Consumer intelligence provider NIQ has announced two key leadership changes in the Asia Pacific region. Pacific MD Megan Treston will transition to a regional role as APAC Consumer Panel Service (CPS) Product Lead, while recent arrival Pete Sheridan steps into her old role.

Megan Treston and Pete SheridanThe firm was previously known as NielsenIQ and has now merged with GfK.

Treston has 25 years of experience in the sector, focused on consumer panels, and NIQ says her appointment reinforces its continued focus and investment in the latter, and its commitment to serving client needs. She spent twenty years at Nielsen, much of it in Director roles in Client Service, before leaving in February 2018 for a year at Advantage Group International - then returned to Nielsen / NIQ as Executive Director Retailer Services, and took the MD Pacific job in autumn 2021. She comments: '2024 is a huge year for NIQ's Consumer Panel product and our clients. This new role will allow me to focus investments and innovations into the areas which clients need the most - such as omnishopper - and develop unmatched capabilities via product developments that will significantly benefit our clients'.

Sheridan will oversee NIQ's combined FMCG, tech and durables businesses across the Pacific. He served as Group MD Asia Pacific for what was then IRI, between 2012 and 2018, and since 2020 has worked for two tech businesses focused on sustainable agriculture, AGERRIS and The Yield Technology Solutions. He joined NIQ towards the end of 2023.

The company is online at www.niq.com .
