NIQ Creates Media Division, Hires Busignani to Lead It

February 29 2024

NIQ, the consumer intelligence company previously part of Nielsen and now combined with GfK, has launched a Global Media Division, which it says is 'designed to enhance the value advertisers derive from their marketing efforts' - and has appointed Lana Busignani to lead it.

Lana BusignaniBusignani (pictured) spent most of 2023 as a consultant to Quotient Technology Inc., helping to develop its retail media vision, but spent the previous seven years at Nielsen, initially as Head of Marketing and Sales Effectiveness for Lead Markets, and latterly as EVP for International Outcomes, Sports and Gracenote Metadata. Earlier she spent fifteen years at Ipsos in roles including President of ad research division ASI. At NIQ she will serve as General Manager, Global Media.

The new division integrates the experience and offerings of NIQ, GfK and MRI-Simmons, addressing 'three core industry issues: defining the right audience for brands, delivering that audience and ensuring that it performs'.

NIQ Chief Revenue Officer Susan Dunn comments: 'With the launch of the Media Division under the leadership of Lana, we are thrilled to round out NIQ's suite of services. This strategic initiative harmonizes our capabilities, offering clients a comprehensive solution to make informed and unified decisions in their marketing endeavors. Lana's wealth of experience and strategic vision align seamlessly with our commitment to providing clients with the Full View, reinforcing NIQ's position as a trusted partner in driving business success'.

NIQ is an Advent International portfolio company with operations in more than 100 countries. Web site: www.niq.com .
