Davis and Price Launch New Insights Holding Company

In West Palm Beach, Florida, MR industry veterans Hugh Davis and Keith Price have launched ACKWEST Group, a holding company which will focus on buying and developing emerging tech-driven enterprises in the consumer insights and marketing services sector.

Davis and Price's longstanding partnership began as they built up pioneering panel company Greenfield Online, which Davis co-founded in the 1990s. They launched sampling and data collection firm reInvention in 2011/12, with Reimagine as a holding company. reInvention became Critical Mix in 2013, and within a few years Reimagine was also the parent of UBMobile, PureSpectrum, Earningstation, iGain, PopResearch and MarketSight. The holding company was sold to Dynata in January 2019.

The new umbrella firm, ACKWEST, has locations in North America, Europe and Asia, and is strategically funded by Price and Davis together with a group of private investors led by another long-time partner and investor Joel Mesznik. ACKWEST will promote companies which create 'uncorrupted, unbiased, and human-verified data for reliable business intelligence'.

Davis says the group will attract 'industry-disrupting leaders who share our mission of providing businesses with the highest quality data', and Price 'forward-thinking data-driven companies that leverage modern technology and exceptional talent'.
