European data collection firm Norstat has opened an office in Belgium, and added its leadership to the remit of Romain Barbet, who is already MD in France.Norstat was established in Oslo, Norway in 1997 and has grown its geographical presence to include the rest of Scandinavia and the Baltics, Poland, Germany, the UK, Ireland, France, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Austria and Italy. It made two Dutch acquisitions in 2021, CG Research and Respondenten, and says with a strong presence here and in France, Belgium is 'a natural next step'.
The company says it is making 'significant' consumer panel investments to establish a strong foundation for growth in Belgium, and is actively recruiting to build its team there. Barbet (pictured), who was named as the company's Managing Director in Paris in September 2020, and now becomes MD of Norstat France & Belgium comments: 'Entering Belgium is a key step in meeting growing market demand and addressing our clients' evolving data needs. By investing in panel capacity and on-the-ground support, we ensure access to high-quality data at scale. Whether for quantitative or qualitative research, Norstat is now ideally positioned to support new and existing clients in Belgium with fast, reliable data for insights'.
Jacob Lagerstedt, the firm's Regional Director South, says the launch is a direct response to strong demand for high-quality consumer panel data in Belgium', and gives both local and international clients access to representative, reliable data with greater ease.
