Canada-based consumer researcher Dig Insights has promoted Joel Anderson to Chief Data Science Officer (CDSO) and Frank Beirne to CTO, underlining its focus on AI and technology-driven insights, and driving the expansion of its digital capabilities.Dig has more than 250 staff in offices in Toronto, Chicago and London, and has made two recent acquisitions: San Francisco-based qual agency Ignite 360 and Austin, Texas-based strategy and innovation advisor Ebco Trends. The firm offers clients a proprietary innovation insights platform called Upsiide, which features mobile-first approaches to engaging respondents and researcher-first analysis and dashboard capabilities.
Anderson (pictured above) has worked at Dig since 2012, rising from Research Director to EVP Advanced Analytics, and has played a key role in developing the firm's analytics, data science and AI initiatives. Before joining Dig he spent two years apiece at Environics and datacollection specialist Research House. As CDSO he will continue to drive AI and data science strategies to enhance the way businesses understand and predict consumer behavior.
Beirne (pictured below) joined the company in 2015 from advertising services firm GMR Marketing, and has helped to develop and expand Upsiide, a key driver of Dig's rapid growth since its launch in 2019. He is promoted from EVP Technology, and as CTO will lead the evolution of Dig's technology infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration between Upsiide and the company's broader offerings, while driving new tech advancements.
