Harris Interactive is dropping the separate identity of its European subsidiary, which will no longer be known as HI Europe but will share the parent's name. The company says the alignment will achieve 'considerable synergies in its marketing, data collection and client management programmes'.
The European operation recently restructured its client-facing functions to focus on services, consumer, technology and business/industrial markets, with the aim of enhancing its delivery of custom research solutions to help solve critical business challenges.
George Terhanian, now with the lengthy title of Harris Interactive President of European Operations and Global Internet Research, says the parent company's brand is 'not only widely recognised and acknowledged for its heritage in polling, but more recently for pioneering Internet-based research'. He adds: 'Though we've been a subsidiary of Harris Interactive for almost four years, direct application of this prominent global brand name will make it simpler for us to communicate who we are and will reinforce our ongoing commitment to our customers'.
Earlier this week (www.mrweb.com/drno/news4549.htm ) the parent company confirmed Gregory Novak as its CEO. The company is online at www.harrisinteractive.com and the European subsidiary is now at www.harrisinteractive.com/Europe . French subsidiary Novatris retains its separate identity and domain at www.novatris.com.
