Canadian healthcare research firm Decision Resources has acquired Toronto-based Millennium Research Group, a specialist in medical devices market intelligence. Bob Bahador and Ash Vahman, the co-founders of Millennium Research Group, will be co-Presidents of the new Decision Resources subsidiary.
Focused solely on the medical device, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology industries, Millennium Research Group provides published reports and customised consulting services. It was ranked among the top 100 fastest growing companies in Canada in 2004 and 2005 by Profit Magazine.
Speaking of the acquisition, Peter Hoenigsberg, CEO of Decision Resources, says: 'As the leader in drug market coverage, we realised that the intersection between drugs and devices was becoming more pronounced. Millennium Research Group was the perfect organisation to add to our family because of its market-leading reputation, fast-growing product lines, and stable of experienced analysts.'
According to Bahador: 'Medical devices are the hottest segment of the healthcare industry today. With this segment's growth comes the demand for information that is accurate and current.'
