Research International has appointed Julian Bond as CEO of its UK company, effective from tomorrow (June 1st). Bond has until now been Global MD of the firm's Marketing Science Group and is already a Group Board Director.
He joined Research International in 1982 on leaving Cambridge University with a maths degree. After a spell working on the utilisation of computer modelling and advanced statistical analysis, he became a Director of the company's Technical Systems, in which role he developed the MicroTest simulated test market model. Since then he has specialised in multivariate techniques and the development of micro-modelling approaches for product and brand development.
Mark Cranmer, RI's Worldwide CEO, says Bond has been instrumental in driving the group's new thinking and techniques over the past twenty years. 'I am delighted that Julian will be assuming the leadership of our UK business. With his knowledge of the company and clients he is exceptionally placed to drive the UK company forward at this exciting period in its history.'
Bond comments: 'It's a great privilege to be leading the company that I love. As a Group we have a clear strategy moving forward - my aim is to achieve the full implementation of this strategy within our UK business.'
RI is an operating company of the Kantar Group, part of WPP, and is online at www.research-int.com .
