Valcon has set a date for the delisting of MR and media giant VNU, of which it now owns around 99% of shares. 10 July will be the last day that shares can be traded on the Exchange.
It is envisaged that shortly after the de-listing of the Shares, VNU will be converted from a public limited company (naamloze vennootschap, for those of you brushing up your Dutch) into a private limited liability company (besloten vennootschap met beperkte aansprakelijkheid).
The company, whose subsidiaries include AC Nielsen and Nielsen Media Research, is online at www.vnu.com .
