Media Group Buys Printing and Imaging Researcher

Questex Media Group has agreed to acquire 100% of MR firm InfoTrends, Inc., subject to the approval of InfoTrends shareholders. InfoTrends, a specialist in document solutions and digital imaging, was a founding partner of Questex's ON DEMAND Conference and Exposition in the early 1990s.

The deal is expected to close by the end of September. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Questex is a diversified b2b integrated media provider, headquartered in Newton MA, with more than 400 employees and serving multiple industries with trade publications, conferences and tradeshows, databases and online media brands. President & CEO Kerry C. Gumas says the agreement marks a significant milestone in the firm's drive to become a strategic business information resource for customers.
