Vietnam Tech Team for TNS

TNS has announced the launch of a dedicated technology team in Vietnam, expanding its Asia Pacific network of technology sector researchers. The team will be led by country MD Ralf Matthaes and supported by Technology Sector Head Hong Nguyen and Sector Champion, Lester Sualog.

TNS says the new team, which was launched with a round table forum attended by the country's premier telecoms & technology vendors, reflects 'the rapid rate of adoption and penetration of new technologies – especially telecoms, across emerging markets in the region.' Mobile phone penetration is over 50% in urban Vietnam and the Internet is used in 1 of every 5 homes in Vietnam's 4 major cities. 'I have little doubt' says Matthaes 'that the team will be kept very busy.'

James Fergusson, Regional Director Technology, adds: 'The addition of Vietnam to our network of sector specialists will enable us to leverage increased international expertise to offer clients even greater insights.'
