GfK Custom Research North America has announced a new structure based on five industry-specific sectors and six practice areas. The move completes the integration of its companies in the US and Canada.
The six practice areas include a Research Center of Excellence. GfK Research Dynamics, the custom research company in Canada, will continue to operate as a separate unit.
The north American company was formed in 2005 (see www.mrweb.com/drno/news4291.htm ) as an umbrella body for GfK Arbor, GfK CRI, GfK Schiappa, Caribou Lake, GfK NOP and GfK Automotive. It is headed by Chairman Martin R. Lautman, working alongside COO, Debbie Pruent, who says the integration will improve the firm's response to 'client's needs for innovation and fact-based consulting supported by high quality research data'. The new management team has been selected from within several of the legacy companies, and is shown in the table below.
