UK marketing services group, Creston plc, has moved Stateside with the opening of a New York Office and the appointment of agency veteran Steve Blamer as CEO in charge of the new operation.
The firm offers services including market research, advertising, public relations, digital marketing, direct marketing and customer relationship marketing (CRM). Half year 2007 financials show billings up by 43% over the previous year, with revenue up 49% in the same period a year ago. Last year's revenues were $85.9 million.
Commenting on both the firm's expansion and the new appointment, Don Elgie, Creston's CEO said: 'In six years, we have succeeded in creating a high-value group delivering impressive earnings and growth on the London Stock Exchange. With nearly 900 employees in the UK, Creston is now positioned to achieve similar success in the US market. With his extensive experience building profitable companies and his well-honed ability to identify areas of potential growth, we believe Steve is the ideal candidate to lead our expansion efforts.'
Blamer was most recently CEO and President of ad agency, Foote Cone & Belding Worldwide. Before this, he served as CEO of Grey Worldwide North America, having previously worked for 17 years within the Grey network. He is a graduate of Arizona State University with a degree in Communications and Business.
