Online survey technologist Decipher has acquired Hollywood-based MR software and tech provider Forefront Consulting Group, within a year of the latter's launch. Terms of the deal between the two privately held companies were not announced.
Forefront was founded last June by partners Kristin Luck and Ji Yeong Kim. While their existing team will continue to work from the firm's Hollywood base, the company name has now changed to Decipher and Luck and Kim become President and Senior VP Data Management of Decipher's senior management team.
Decipher CEO Jamin Brazil explained that the investment will enable his firm to provide a more comprehensive suite of services to its clients: 'This year we have made several strategic moves towards our goal of improved client experience coupled with rapid growth. This acquisition represents another key step in the execution of our strategy.'
Forefront CEO Kristin Luck comments: 'We believe this acquisition creates a tremendous opportunity to expand on the capabilities of both companies by bringing together the services that our respective firms truly excel at – Decipher's programming and hosting services and Forefront's data management and custom development services.'
Forefront was launched to help full service research suppliers manage their operational and technical needs, by integrating state-of-the-art technology with traditional market research. Fresno-based Decipher specialises in online survey programming, data collection, data processing/reporting and custom technology development. The combined Californian companies will now have 52 full time employees and predict 2007 revenue in excess of $10 million.
