Metra Seis Buy Strengthens Synovate Spain

Synovate has acquired Spain's largest independent full service market research agency, Metra Seis, for an undisclosed sum.

Global CEO Adrian Chedore explained that the new business further enhances Synovate's position in ad hoc market research in the country: 'We are significantly raising our profile in quantitative research, with Metra Seis' capabilities nicely complementing Synovate's existing full-service operations and strong position in qualitative research.'

Chedore says Metra Seis's presence in the automotive and FMCG sector complements Synovate's practices and solutions in these areas.

Metra Seis was founded in 1964 and currently has a staff of 75 based in Madrid and Barcelona. Synovate, which employs more than 5,700 staff across 52 countries, recently appointed Marina Navarro as Head of Qualitative in Madrid (www.mrweb.com/drno/news6937.htm ).
