Zoomerang Launches Self-Service Mobile Survey Tool

Online survey software firm and MarketTools subsidiary Zoomerang has launched a solution for researchers and marketers who wish to generate their own mobile phone surveys.

Billed as Zoomerang Anywhere, the new tool has an online interface which enables the creation and distribution of mobile surveys as short message service (SMS) texts. To participate in a survey, consumers respond using a short code, which marketers can also include in ads, in stores, or on coupons to encourage immediate feedback.

The firm says that subscribers to the service can use it to send both online and mobile surveys, which can be easily created using simple templates and guidelines.

'We're making it possible to reach people whether they are online or on the go,' said General Manager Paula Rivers. 'Text messaging has become ingrained in our communications culture, and it's an ideal medium for marketers to connect with consumers.'

The service also offers dedicated customer phone support, online recorded tutorials, and user forums where participants can communicate with other Zoomerang Anywhere users.

Earlier in the year, the San Francisco-based firm upgraded its zPro software with enhanced reporting and survey creation tools, and the introduction of open online user forums (www.mrweb.com/drno/news6829.htm ). Web sites are at www.markettools.com and www.zoomerang.com.
