TNS has promoted Robert Tomei to President, Areas of Expertise and Marketing for its US Custom Research business, and Kimberly Bastoni to SVP US Custom Marketing and Development.
Tomei joined TNS last spring as Global Head of Access Panels after a 13 year career with Nielsen, where he latterly served as President of the company's Homescan consumer panel business (www.mrweb.com/drno/news6737.htm ). In his new role he will oversee the heads of TNS' Areas of Expertise - which cover Brand & Communications, Product Development & Innovation, Stakeholder Management, and Retail & Shopper Insights - while leading and developing a global growth strategy for the firm's 6th dimension access panels.
'Bob's new appointment aligns perfectly with the new strategic focus of our company,' comments Kimberly Till, US CEO. 'Both areas work intrinsically together to promote and execute the vision of TNS - delivering deeper insights, faster answers and recommendations to clients that help drive their business decisions.'
Bastoni also joined TNS last year, having previously spent four years at Millward Brown as SVP Client and Market Development, and before this, held positions at Nielsen, Affiinnova, Snowball.com (now IGN.com) and NFO. She is promoted from SVP Strategic Business Planning and Development, where she was responsible for building brand awareness of the division. In her new role reporting to Tomei, Bastoni will be responsible for all US marketing initiatives and co-ordinating new business development.
