Ipsos has posted full year revenue of Euros 927.2m, up 8.2% on the back of organic growth of 9.1%. Strong performances in Asia Pacific, Latin America and Europe more than offset a slight decline in the group's North American revenue.
The Group's Marketing Research operations performed strongly with revenues of EUR 445m and organic growth of 7%, against a small increase in revenues during 2006. Media Research revenue increased 13.5% to EUR 66.7m, of which 12% resulted from organic growth. Customer Satisfaction Research climbed 13% to EUR 91.9m, Opinion and Social Research rose 7.5% to EUR 123.9m and Advertising Research Increased 10% to EUR 199.7m of which 14.5% resulted from organic growth.
Regionally, revenue was up across Asia Pacific, which saw a 14.5% increase to EUR 91.8m. In Latin America revenue climbed 19% to EUR 101.1m, while in Europe it rose 12% to EUR 449.1m. However, in North America it declined 2% to EUR 285.2.
Amongst its many investments during the year, Ipsos bought 70% of South African MR agency Markinor (www.mrweb.com/drno/news7334.htm ), 51% of Turkey's second largest MR agency KMG Research (www.mrweb.com/drno/news6787.htm ), and acquired most of Peruvian agency, Apoyo Opinión y Mercado SA (www.mrweb.com/drno/news6456.htm ).
Ipsos says its operating margin grew 'significantly' in 2007, but will not be releasing details until 18 March 2008. For this year, the firm is predicting sales above EUR 1bn and is again expecting its operating margin to increase.
