UK-headquartered B2B International has launched a new survey to help manufacturers of security systems track installers' views on their brands over time, and identify their own and competitors' strengths and weaknesses.
The new annual Security Systems Monitor offers brand preference data for manufacturers of intruder alarms and CCTV systems. It examines the difference in views between electrical contractors and intruder alarm specialists, and is based on 300 interviews with UK installers.
Each brand is measured against what drives brand choice in this market, as well as the weight of importance that is given to key drivers such as reliability, design, availability, range, performance and price.
'Through the monitor, users can analyse how to reach their target market using the trade press as well as the Internet and exhibitions,' explained B2B's Matt Powell. 'They can also use it to develop and modify their products to meet the changing needs of the market.'
The firm claims theirs is the first tracker in the security systems market that makes brand preference data available to all manufacturers. Not only does it measure the swing towards wireless systems, it also shows differences between householders and businesses.
B2B International has offices in the UK, China and the United States and is on the web at www.b2binternational.com .
